What is Graffiti World?
I love drawing and I love maps, so I built something that smashed both together: Graffiti World. It lets you draw right at your real-world location, on the spot where you’re standing. Your doodles stay there on the map, waiting for the next human to wander by and discover your masterpiece... or your questionable scribble. Both are valid! 😄 Graffiti World drops your art into the world like a creative geocache. A bit of street art energy, without climbing fences or running from security.
Problem
Users who enjoy street art or location-based creativity face challenges with traditional graffiti, such as legal risks and lack of permanence or accessibility for others to discover their art. Digital art sharing often lacks a geolocation-based persistent layer to tie creations to real-world locations.
Solution
A mobile app that allows users to create and leave digital graffiti tied to their real-world location, merging geolocation with art. Users can draw on a map where their artwork remains for others to discover, blending AR and social interaction (e.g., leaving doodles at a park for strangers to find).
Customers
Street artists, digital illustrators, and location-based game enthusiasts (ages 18–35, tech-savvy creatives seeking unconventional ways to express themselves and interact with communities).
Unique Features
Persistent location-based art tied to GPS coordinates, social discovery of others' graffiti, and a hybrid of geocaching and street art without physical or legal constraints.
User Comments
The concept is refreshing and fun! Combines my love for art and exploring new places.; Feels like a digital treasure hunt for creativity.; Wish I had this during my travels to leave marks.; Legal-safe way to ‘tag’ spots.; Needs more visibility to attract users.
Traction
Launched on ProductHunt recently (exact metrics unclear), likely in early growth stage. Comparable apps like GeoCaching have 10M+ users globally.
Market Size
The global location-based AR market is projected to grow from $14.2 billion in 2023 to $88.7 billion by 2026 (Statista).
